KSE-100 extends gains, closing 0.8% higher for the week

Banking and cement counters led the advance as foreign portfolio inflows turned positive for the month.

The benchmark KSE-100 index closed the week 0.8 per cent higher, its third consecutive weekly gain.

Banking and cement counters led the advance, while energy stocks lagged on concerns over receivables.

Foreign portfolio investment turned net positive for the month, according to exchange data released after the close.
